For those who don’t know much or little about our Church we wait until children turn eight years old to baptize them. Havana turned eight a couple of weeks ago but she wanted to be baptized when her grandparents could come to be a part of her special day. Since the kids are out of school this next week we thought this would be perfect.
The words to one of the songs she chose are
I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain
And ponder on the beauty of an Earth made clean again
I want my life to be as clean as Earth right after rain
I want to be the best I can
And live with God again.
How appropriate that this morning it was raining on our way to the Church. By the time she had been baptized the sun was shining and everything looked fresh and new and clean again. I am so grateful for a loving Father in Heaven who has blessed my life with these wonderful children who make good choices and bring me such joy!
What a special day! Havana looks beautiful in her white dress. I am so proud of her and her decision to be baptized. That song about rainbows and baptism is one of my favorites, too. Thanks for the update for those of us who could not be there for her special day!
