We have our first official visitor! Wait who am I kidding Uncle Brian is our first visitor period. James’ brother-in-law has been in Germany on business so last night he jumped on a train and headed to our neck of the woods. The kids were so excited to see him. It’s a nice change of pace to have a familiar face in our new home. We borrowed a bike for him to ride but I guess I should have found a Dutchman to borrow from because it was a little bit too small. He was a good sport so we were able to take him around Wassenaar to see e new town we are learning to call home.
We started out with soccer practice for David and then the four big girls. Lucky for us soccer is huge here in the Netherlands but not for girls. That means Caitlyn, Aimee, Lainey, and Havana all get to be on the same team. Woohoo!! One practice time and one game it doesn’t get much better than that when you have 5 kids playing a sport. Too bad David can’t join their team. LOL. After a beautiful day at the soccer fields it was off to Holli’s favorite place , Luciano’s. Amazing ice cream and super cheap too. It only costs our family €16,80 for two scoop cones each. Even with the exchange rate Cold Stone was more than that for us. Then we headed to our favorite park–well that we know about at least. There are so many parks and we haven’t even been to 1/3 of them. After the park we grabbed dinner at a Pannenkoeken Huis. I think y’all can guess that that’s a pancake house. So yummy! Savory or sweet thin pancakes that are big and tasty. A quick bike ride home and then some relaxing Lego time.

Hopefully more people will come stay at the Carruth Bed and Breakfast. Especially since our shipment of all our stuff is supposed to be here Tuesday!
