As you should be well aware, we are expecting our 6th child very soon. To make it more interesting we are starting a contest for all of our friends and family to guess the gender of the baby and the birth weight. If you just want to guess the gender then vote in the poll on the right side of this page. If you want to enter the contest then leave your name, email, guess on gender and guess on birth weight in a comment to this post.
P.S. Ruth is currently scheduled for an induction on August 11 (one week before her due date). You may want to consider this in determining your birth weight guess.

Although I really think it would be cool for David to have a baby brother, it appears that this will be a baby sister. My guess is that she will weight 8 lbs 9 oz.

I agree with Mom (aka Bammy). Although David might really enjoy and benefit from a brother, I think it will be a girl, weighing in at 8 lbs. 8 oz.

An updated preggo pic would help with my guess, but from the most recent one I am guessing baby Girl, birthdate August 10th 9 lbs 13 ozs.

I’m guessing there will be a new baby BOY Carruth and he will weigh 8 lbs. 11 oz. If he’s born on the 11th, he will have Paul’s birthday…how fun! Best wishes on a great delivery!

It think the odds are that you will have a girl but I will vote for a boy since you have plenty of girls!! Not that one more girl would be a bad thing! How about 9lbs even!
