I found a nice little program called Media Man that helps you build a catalog of all the books, DVDs, video games, etc that you own. It has a pretty great interface and except for one minor bug it seemed to work really well. You type the ISBN number or UPC number from a book or DVD and it downloads the information for that item from Amazon.com (or Amazon.co.uk since we have a few British books). It made my efforts go really quickly, because I had pictured doing this on my own. It allows you to export it as html and here are the lists (Movies Childrens Books, Cook Books , Miscellaneous Books and Video Games ) and it allows you to export a virtual shelf that looks pretty cool . Now everyone can figure out what not to buy us for Christmas. These lists have about 95% of our movies and books. The rest are ones that the program could not get information for from Amazon.
